Sharing maps with others
View links
Section titled “View links”Share → Share by link makes a link anyone can open without an account, to look but not edit. In the map’s settings, under Sharing:
- Allow commenting lets link visitors comment. Without an account they sign with a name.
- Ask for a PIN adds a five-digit PIN (Starter and Business).
A link without a PIN can also be read by an AI assistant. Give it the link and ask about the process: it reads the steps, branches and stage notes.
Comments
Section titled “Comments”Comments are on steps; a step with open comments shows a speech-bubble mark. With Comment mode on, a click on a step opens its comments on the map; otherwise they are in the step’s editor. @ mentions someone on the map. The Nodes tab gathers every comment.
To turn feedback into findings, use Stage note under a comment: it becomes a note on that step, signed with its author, and the comment is resolved.
Working together
Section titled “Working together”Invite people by email in the map’s settings: a Viewer looks, an Editor changes and comments. The number of editors depends on the owner’s plan.
Editors work at the same time. A step someone is editing shows their picture and waits until they finish, so nobody overwrites anyone. Undo takes back only your own changes, and is refused if someone has since changed what it touched.
Export and import
Section titled “Export and import”Each map’s … menu on Your maps has Export JSON; Import JSON at the top brings a file back as a new map. JSON holds the map’s content, not comments or personal view settings. For pictures, see Printing.
